Payments & Cancellation Policy

All lessons will need to be prepaid

Once you and I agree to the dates, timing & frequency of lessons, I will send you an email with these details, a reference number and the bank account for making payments. Payments need to be made directly to the bank account and quoting the reference number. All lessons will need to be paid 3 days before the start of the first lesson.

I do not accept weekly payments - you will need to book for a minimum of 4 lessons. If you are unsure about the quality of my teaching, please book and pre-pay for just one lesson. Please read the FAQs section regarding trial lessons.

Cancellation & Refunds

Since I tutor you on a one-to-one basis, I have very limited opportunity to slot someone else into a lesson you want to cancel. But I do understand that under unexpected circumstances you may want to cancel lessons at short notice.

This cancellation policy applies to One-to-One lessons.

There are three cut-off points when calculating cancellation fee, all based on the start time of the lesson you want cancelled.

• Cancellation a week (7 calendar days) or more in advance of the lesson start time will not incur any cancellation fee. The fund will remain as credit in your account.

• Cancellation before 24 Hours of the lesson start time will incur a 20% cancellation fee.

• Cancellation before 12 Hours of the lesson start time will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

• Cancellation within 12 Hours of the lesson start time or No-show at a lesson will be considered as a lesson attended and will be charged as a lesson. 100% cancellation fee will apply in this case.

After applying the appropriate cancellation fee, funds, if any, remaining will remain as credit in your account.

To initiate a cancellation, you must send a text message to my mobile 07946413945. Determining cut-off points to calculate refunds will be based on the time I receive this text message. During school working weekdays, I will be unable to answer my mobile, hence it is essential that you text me.

I believe this cancellation policy is fair to both of us. I do not think that cancellation will be an issue if managed properly by you and by me.

Lessons in lieu

The cancellation policy applies to One-to-One sessions. If you miss a lesson, I may not be conducting a substitute lesson for you to make up for it. If at all possible, I may slot you into another lesson, but there is no guarantee. If this happens, you may be required to pay. I will use my discretion and decide on a case by case basis. Teaching and learning is a planned and scheduled activity.
